NHL fans were in for a surprise when Jonathan Quick’s son Cash decided to dress up as New York Rangers' Matt Rempe on Halloween. On Friday, B/R Open Ice shared a photo on X (formerly Twitter) of Cash in a Rangers jersey posing with Rempe. Cash’s mother Jaclyn Quick originally shared the photo on Instagram, and it quickly gained attention.

"Matt Rempe with Jonathan Quick’s son Cash, who dressed up as Matt Rempe (via IG/jaquick24)," B/R Open Ice tweeted.

Fans enjoyed the moment and shared their opinions on X.

"Cash Quick is a sick name," one fan tweeted.
"You cannot tell me that Johnathon Quick named his son Cash Quick….thats way too cool that’s not allowed lol," another fan tweeted.
"Good to see quick taking rempe under his wing, although not a goalie, rempe needs this kind of leadership to hopefully stop him from getting CTE," a fan tweeted.
"I don't like rempe for obvious reasons but this is so cute. Also I wish I was named Cash Quick," one fan tweeted.

Matt Rempe remained scoreless as the Capitals defeated the Rangers 5–3

The New York Rangers lost 5–3 to the Washington Capitals on Tuesday. Matt Rempe remained scoreless and picked up five penalty minutes in just five minutes of play.

Capitals' Alex Ovechkin scored twice in the first period, increasing his career goal total to 857. Ovechkin’s first goal came at 3:23 with a wrist shot from the left circle. Soon after, Will Cuylle tied it for the Rangers, scoring from a pass by Kaapo Kakko. However, Ovechkin struck again at 5:10, giving the Capitals a 2–1 lead with a backhand pass from Aliaksei Protas.

The Capitals extended their lead to 3–1 at 8:58 when Connor McMichael deflected a shot past Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin. The Rangers fought back in the second period with a power-play goal by Chris Kreider just 30 seconds in, narrowing the score to 3–2.

Washington responded quickly as Protas scored, making it 4–2. Filip Chytil kept the Rangers in the game, scoring 14 seconds later, bringing it to 4–3. Nic Dowd scored into an empty net to secure Washington’s 5–3 win. Shesterkin made 41 saves for the Rangers, but they couldn’t overcome the Capitals' solid start.
