McDavid shared what he believes sets Lauren apart from other creative entrepreneurs.

"Vision is one thing. Kyle's gift is making it come to life," McDavid said (via The Score).

McDavid added that while many don't follow through on ideas, Lauren does. “She comes up with an idea and just gets after it,” he said.

"So many people just don't follow through, and I think that's what separates her," McDavid said "It's been fun to watch her try something and then follow through and do it."

Lauren Kyle is building her own legacy with five business ventures, including her latest, Bar Trove, a small bites restaurant in downtown Edmonton.

It opened the same weekend the Oilers had made their second straight trip to the Final. Kyle also runs an interior design firm, a fashion line, a furniture showroom and a cookbook brand.

Connor McDavid said that Kyle’s heart is what truly separates her.

"She's got a big heart. She cares about people. I think that's why she's gotten into the field that she has," McDavid said about his wife. "She enjoys creating these experiences for people that she cares about and for others."

For McDavid, watching Kyle follow through on her ideas has been inspiring.

“It’s amazing what she’s been able to build,” McDavid said.
