Adrian Kempe registered his third career hat-trick in the LA Kings' 6-0 victory against the Pittsburgh Penguins. He ended the game with four goals, a career first on a frustrating night for Pittsburgh that saw captain Sidney Crosby thrown out of the game for misconduct.

NHL Twitter reacted to Kempe's career night, LA's 29th win of the season and Sidney Crosby's ejection:

Adrian Kempe has career-high four goals in victory against the Penguins

The Kings began the scoring with Jaret Anderson-Dolan tipping-in a pass between his legs and into the goal. No defenseman or goalie would have expected that. LA were 1-0 up only 1:58 into the game.

Alex Iafallo snuck in a snap shot between the goalie's legs to make it 2-0 just before the end of the first period.

Adrian Kempe scored four goals tonight, bringing his tally to 26 goals and 14 assists this season. He is projected to have 50+ points by the end of the season, marking a second consecutive season with 50+ points.

Kempe sniped a shot from the left wing and found the top-right corner of the net. He doubled his tally for the night when he was left unmarked and hit a snap shot into the back of the net from Anze Kopitar's 29th assist of the season.

The duo combined for another goal-assist when Kopitar's assist was deflected and fell comfortably for Kempe, who scored his third of the game.

On a frustrating night for the Penguins, Sidney Crosby was ejected midway into the third period for misconduct stemming from his altercation with Mikey Anderson.

The goals just kept on coming for the Kings and Adrian Kempe, who scored his fourth 15 minutes into the third period, marking his first ever four-goal game. Kevin Fiala recorded his 37th assist of the season.

Phoenix Copley made 25 stops and recorded his first shutout with LA on a day where everything came together for the Kings.
