The New Jersey Devils will look to build on a two-game win streak when they travel to Calgary for a road game against the Flames on Friday.
While the cross-conference matchup is an opportunity for the Devils to extend their lead at the summit of the Metropolitan Division, the Flames will be looking to snap a four-game skid that could see them fall to 5-5-1 on the season.
Ahead of the puck drop tonight, the Devils have two players listed as out for tonight's contest. Defenceman Santeri Hatakka has been on the injured reserve list since early October after undergoing shoulder surgery, with no timeline for his return.
In addition, center Curtis Lazar underwent a knee procedure on Thursday and is expected to be out indefinitely, hoping to recover and play before the end of the season.

Looking at the New Jersey Devils' two-game win streak and upcoming games
Heading into tonight's game against the Calgary Flames, the New Jersey Devils are riding the momentum of a two-game win streak.
After starting the season with four wins in their first five games, the Devils went on a bit of a skid, losing five of their next six. Since then, however, they have rallied in a big way, winning two straight games with six goals in each.
On Sunday, they defeated the Anaheim Ducks at home 6-2 before then shutting out the Canucks 6-0 on the road on Wednesday to extend their season record to 7-4-2.
Currently, the Devils have the best record in the Metropolitan Division with 16 points, just ahead of the Washington Capitals and Carolina Hurricanes, who both have 7-2-0 records with 14 points.
Following tonight's game - the second of three road games for the Devils - the team will head to Edmonton for a clash with the Oilers on Monday, before hosting the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday at the Prudential Center in Newark.
