Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett received a goalie interference penalty after colliding with the Edmonton Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
The call came at 12:13 of the first period when Bennett was standing in front of Skinner and got pushed by Oilers’ defenseman Mattias Ekholm, causing Sam Bennett to fall into the Oilers' netminder. Bennett received an interference penalty on the play.
Fans immediately took to social media to voice their reactions, with one writing,
“Ekholm push then skinner trip. Even the reffs want Canada to win.”
"After Ekholm pushed Bennett into his own goalie. There fixed it for ya," another wrote.

Edmonton capitalized on the man advantage, with Leon Draisaitl scoring on assists from Connor McDavid and Evan Bouchard.
But the Panthers entered the second intermission with a 4-3 lead on goals from Bennett, Seth Jones, Dmitry Kulikov and Brad Marchand.
The Oilers got markers from Evander Kane, Evan Bouchard and Draisaitl's power-play tally.
