Flyers HC John Tortorella gives short interview consisting of just 8 words after 6-4 loss to Canes

After the Philadelphia Flyers' 6-4 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, coach John Tortorella delivered a notably brief interview, consisting of just eight words.

Known for his dynamic and sometimes fiery interactions with the media, Tortorella surprised many with his minimal response. During a post-game shower interview, he simply said "No", followed by "Yep," and added that he wasn't going to dissect the game.

Tortorella said:

"No,' 'Yep,' "I'm not gonna dissect it', 'Ok.'"

The succinct approach highlighted his frustration especially after the Flyers let the game slip away in the last minute by conceding two quick goals.

It marked back-to-back defeats for Tortorella and the Philadelphia Flyers, who are bottom of the Metro Division with nine points.

John Tortorella and Flyers continue to struggle without Samuel Ersson

The Flyers have dropped to 0-8-0 in their last eight games that Samuel Ersson hasn't started between the pipes. He's expected to return to the lineup soon after recovering from a lower body injury.

On Tuesday, the Hurricanes hosted the Flyers at PNC Arena and beat them 6-4. Travis Konecny opened the scoring for the Flyers at 7:54 of the first period with a powerplay goal.

At 14:25, Jackson Blake equalized for the Hurricanes before the end of the first period. Eric Robinson and Jordan Martinook extended the Hurricanes' lead to 3-1, but Owen Tippet, at 13:30, cut the Flyers' deficit to 3-2.

Morgan Frost tied the gamefor the Flyers at 1:18 of the third period. Just 20 seconds later, though, Jack Roslovic restored the home team's advantage. Konecny then scored his second of the night to make it 4-4 for the Flyers.

However, late goals from Martin Necas and Seth Jarvus secured a 6-4 win for the Hurricanes. Brent Burns and Necas picked up two points apiece for the Hurricanes, while Pyotr Kochetkov ended the night with 12 saves on .750 SV%.

For the Flyers, Konecny accumulated four points, while Sean Couturier and Tippet contributed two points apiece. John Tortorella and the Flyers face arch-rivals Pittsburgh Penguins next on Thursday.
