Former Pittsburgh Penguins player Colby Armstrong shared a funny story about Sidney Crosby on NHLonTNT on Friday. Armstrong recalled a time when he missed curfew and decided to stop by McDonald's for a late-night snack. He grabbed a few cheeseburgers and sneaked back to his hotel room. To avoid waking up Crosby, Armstrong quietly went into the bathroom to eat.

"Oh yeah, when I went out, I actually missed curfew, and then I came, I hit up the drive through, all the way home with a few little boys, and then I was roommates with them. But I snuck. I snuck into the bathroom because I was respectful. Didn't want to wake up the kid, you know, then he came into the bathroom and came in," Armstrong said.

But Crosby soon woke up and walked into the bathroom. He asked:

"Kay, you got anything for me?' Of course I did, a couple of extra cheeseburgers"

While Armstrong’s story brings a smile, Crosby is still making history in the NHL. He recently recorded his 13th season with at least 80 points. This puts him ahead of Mark Messier and Alex Ovechkin for the third-most such seasons. Only Wayne Gretzky and Marcel Dionne have more.

Crosby also recently scored his 600th NHL goal, becoming the 21st player to do so. He also reached his 1,600th career point against the Buffalo Sabres in October. Crosby has had a great season so far.

NHL columnist praised Sidney Crosby for his impact on the Penguins

Sidney Crosby scored his 600th career goal in a 6-1 loss to the Utah Hockey Club. Despite the achievement, Crosby looked frustrated and upset. At 37, he is still one of the best players in the NHL, but the Penguins are not performing well.

NHL insider Josh Yohe of The Athletic praised Crosby for his impact.

"PPG Paints Arena isn’t just the house that Mario Lemieux built; it’s also the house Crosby built." Yohe wrote. "The Penguins might not even be in Pittsburgh without Crosby and the impact he made as a teenager, turning the Penguins into almost instant rock stars who took the city by storm... it lasted for almost two decades...golden age of Penguins hockey."

This season, Sidney Crosby has 8 goals, 16 assists, and 24 points, with a -7 rating. He remains a key player leading Pittsburgh's offense.
