Nico Sturm finally got his 2022 Stanley Cup ring last night, the last member of the cup-winning team to do so. He was one of the main flag bearers in the Colorado Avalanche's campaign to win the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup.

By defeating the defending champions Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2, the Colorado Avalanche won the Stanley Cup in 2022. At Tampa, Florida's Amalie Arena, on June 26, 2022, the Avalanche won the championship.

The team updated this recognition using their Twitter account and fans showered their love and support for Nico Sturm.

The most attention-worthy response came from the San Jose Sharks team for whom Nico Sturm currently plays in the NHL. It was a simple tweet, but it was a good gesture to show appreciation for their players.

A fan named Roxanne got a little emotional for Sturm and wrote,

"I’m not crying, you’re crying, idk what you’re talking about."

Another person named Jason Sauls noticed Sturm's reaction as he received the ring.

Nico Sturm's career with the Colorado Avalanche

Sturm was traded by the Wild to division rivals, the Colorado Avalanche, on March 15, 2022, in exchange for Tyson Jost. Sturm assisted the Avalanche in winning their first Stanley Cup in 21 years.

The Avalanche finished the 2021–22 season with 119 points, securing the playoffs for a sixth consecutive year. Going into the Stanley Cup finals, they defeated the St. Louis Blues in six games, swept the Edmonton Oilers, and swept the Nashville Predators. On June 26, 2022, the Avalanche clinched their third Stanley Cup in team history, beating two-time winners Tampa Bay Lightning in six games.
