NHL has projected how much the Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman could score in the upcoming season. It has predicted 86 points, three more than his total points in 2022-23 and nine more than in 2023-24.
NHL shared this prediction on X (formerly Twitter) and asked:
"Can you see Zach Hyman putting up 86 points this upcoming season? "
Fans reacted to the post.
"Zach Hyman he will break this record," one fan tweeted.
"We don’t rate tap in merchants sorry NHL," another fan tweeted.
"I’m sure McDavid will carry him there again. I like Hyman as a player a lot but it was comical how easy his goals were all year. Literal back door tap-ins," a fan tweeted.
"I mean he was pretty selfish redirecting all those McDavid goals… so why not 87," a disgruntled fan tweeted.
"He’s gonna be covered a lot more this season and likely won’t connect as much because of it. Likely gets somewhere around 35-40 goals and maybe 30 assists," another fan tweeted.
"In any other team Hyman would be wearing the C. I’m confident that he will start the season where he left off. He can get 100 points," one fan tweeted.
"For sure if he continues to not skate with the puck until he looses it," another fan tweeted.
