NHL fans on social media reacted as the New Jersey Devils lost 1-0 to the San Jose Sharks on Sunday night. Nico Sturm scored the only goal at 18:21 into the first period.
The Devils dominated the Sharks, attempting 44 shots compared to their 22. However, they couldn't find the back of the net. Former Devils goalie Mackenzie Blackwood turned out to be the savior for San Jose, making an impressive 44 saves in the shutout victory.

On Sunday, the New Jersey Devils faced off against the San Jose Sharks at Prudential Center, where the Sharks delivered an unexpected upset, winning 1-0.
Nico Strum was the standout player, scoring the only goal of the game at 16:21 in the first period. He converted a pass from Carl Grundstrom, who sent the puck from the neutral zone.
Former Devils goalie Mackenzie Blackwood made a remarkable 44 saves, securing his 11th career shutout victory and marking his first shutout against his former club since being traded.
With the win, the Sharks ended their two-game skid and improved to 5-9-2 at the bottom of the Pacific Division. Meanwhile, the New Jersey Devils (10-6-2) remain atop the Metro Division with 22 points despite the loss.
The Devils will be up against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday. The puck drops at 8 p.m. ET.
