The mugshots of the six men accused of assaulting former NHL player Paul Bissonnette at a Scottsdale, Arizona, restaurant on Sunday night were released by TMZ Sports.

Bissonnette was the victim of an attack by a group of men at Houston's restaurant near McDonald Drive and Scottsdale Road around 7:30 pm.

According to police reports, Bissonnette had attempted to help restaurant management deal with the group of six men who were arguing with the staff. The situation escalated when the men turned on Bissonnette, assaulting him both inside and outside the restaurant.

The six alleged attackers have been identified as Henry Mesker, Danny Bradley, John Carroll, Edward Jennings, William Carroll and Sean Daley. Six individuals were arrested for assault charges, while some of them are also facing disorderly conduct charges. Daley is facing a felony assault charge as well.

The former NHL enforcer was not seriously injured in the fight despite being outnumbered six to one.

Paul Bissonnette explains what happened

Paul Bissonnette posted a video on Monday to explain his side of the story regarding an altercation at a restaurant over the weekend. Bissonnette noted that the group was highly intoxicated and criticized their unsuitable behavior for a family-friendly restaurant.

Bissonnette said:

"They asked one guy to leave, and then one guy kept getting in the manager's face, put his hands on him, and that went on for about probably 30 to 45 seconds. And you know, you could tell he was a little shocked and surprised and stunned. And you know, it's a family restaurant.”

Bissonnette felt the need to step in that situation.

"I don't think there was anybody in there who could come, go, maybe, like, help him out. So I went over. I just grabbed the guy's arm that was on him. I said, I said, 'Sir, if you continue to harass and assault the staff, we're gonna have problems.' And then they just started chucking, so it escalated extremely quickly."

Paul Bissonnette said he just wanted to share his perspective and provide some clarity about the events.
