Pathers vs. Rangers for the second time in NHL Playoffs

This season's Eastern Conference Finals will be the second showdown ever between the Florida Panthers and New York Rangers in NHL playoff history. The first time they met was way back in 1997, during the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. New York clinched that series in five games.

This regular season, the Rangers and Panthers faced off three times. The NY team won one of those matchups as they went 1-2-0 against Florida.

The Panthers are on a hot playoff streak, making it to the conference final for the second consecutive year. Last season, they breezed past the Hurricanes but stumbled against the Vegas Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Final.

Meanwhile, the Rangers are back in the mix after a few years' hiatus. They last made it to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2014 but fell short against the Kings.

Now, both teams are hungry for that Stanley Cup glory, and this series is bound to be a nail-biter.
