NHL fans on social media reacted to the exclusion of netminder Jeremy Swayman from the Boston Bruins training camp roster.
The training camp begins on Wednesday, but the absence of Swayman from the roster has added to the uncertainty surrounding his contract situation, as the 25-year-old netminder remains unsigned.
With fans anxious about Jeremy Swayman's future with the team, the decision to leave him off the training camp roster has left them in limbo. Here's what they said on X/Twitter.
One tweeted:
"No Swayman is starting to give me some anxiety, ain’t gonna lie."
Another chimed in:
"Anyone else pissed off at the swayman situation and how it's being handled? As a bruins fan I'm pissed off. I think it's time for Sweeny and neely to go!"
Here are some of the other top reactions on X:
"Good to see the B's moving on without Swayman. Young goalies need ice time to develop. He's only played 132 games. Does he really think he'll get big $ after sitting out a season? A season of paychecks he'll never get back? B's should cut their losses and write him off," one X user opined.
If Swayman isn’t resigned we are literally just the Atlantic Division version of the Pittsburgh Penguins," another fan chimed in.
"Be ready to be without Swayman, it's not getting done, I think for awhile," another wrote.
"No Swayman.. they messed that one yup," another commented.
Brandon Bussi, Ryan Bischel, Michael DiPietro, Joonas Korpisalo and Nolan Maier are the goaltenders included in the Boston Bruins training camp roster.
