The Edmonton Oilers are at home to play the New Jersey Devils on Monday at 8:30 p.m. EST. Edmonton (6-5-1) is coming off a 4-2 win over Calgary on Sunday. New Jersey (7-5-2) is coming off a 3-0 loss to Calgary on Friday.

Before the Oilers' showdown against the Devils tonight, here's what their projected lines are expected to look like.

Predicted Oilers lineup

Forwards

  • Zach Hyman - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - Jeff Skinner
  • Viktor Arvidsson - Leon Draisaitl - Vasily Podkolzin
  • Mattias Janmark - Adam Henrique - Connor Brown
  • Drake Caggiula - Noah Philp - Corey Perry

The Oilers' offense is hampered by injury to star player and captain Connor McDavid. McDavid will be out for two-three weeks, so Edmonton is trying to get by without him.

However, the Oilers did get scoring from Zach Hyman and Leon Draisaitl against Calgary.

"He's playing unbelievable," Hyman said about Draisaitl, via NHL.com. "His whole line is playing great, and he's really driving the bus right now for our team in all areas of the game. He's been phenomenal."

Defensemen

  • Mattias Ekholm - Evan Bouchard
  • Darnell Nurse - Travis Dermott
  • Brett Kulak - Ty Emberson

The Oilers blueline is starting to find chemistry and is getting better, which is necessary if Edmonton is going to go on another deep postseason run.

Goalies

  • Calvin Pickard
  • Stuart Skinner

Pickard will get the start after Skinner started on Sunday and played well against Calgary.

Pickard last played on Thursday, making 26 saves on 27 shots in a 5-1 win against Nashville.

Devils vs Oilers: Preview

Edmonton played well against Calgary on Sunday but back-to-backs are always tough and the Oilers play a well-rested New Jersey team here.

The Devils were disappointed in its loss to Calgary and New Jersey should be able to come out strong and get out to an early lead and hang onto it. Jacob Markstrom has been great in goal, and without McDavid, this Oilers lineup will struggle to score goals.

Prediction: New Jersey 3, Edmonton 2.
