A slew of penalties were assessed in the final period: Trent Frederic received a 2-minute minor for cross-checking and a 2-minute minor for roughing against Sam Bennett, plus a 10-minute misconduct; Sam Bennett was assessed a 2-minute minor for roughing and a 10-minute misconduct.

The game concluded with a combined 140 penalty minutes. The Florida Panthers secured a commanding 6-1 victory, taking a 2-1 series lead in the Stanley Cup Final.
