The Four Nations Face-Off is this year's version of the All-Star Game. Rather than sending the best players to a meaningless competition mid-season, hockey has decided to allow players the chance to represent their countries, a rare honor that will take place in 2025.

Ahead of the event, the first look at the probable uniforms for each team has been revealed. Hockey journalist Frank Seravelli shared the first promotional image and provided some details about the event, which has largely been shrouded in mystery.

With the first look, NHL fans aren't too pleased. The Canadian jerseys in particular drew some ire from fans in the replies.

"How did they manage to make every jersey look terrible," one fan said.
"Still got time to design a new Canada jersey," another fan said.

Others didn't find the jerseys to be that bad and were just excited for the first real look at the event.

"I WILL BE P****D IF JAKE SANDERSON DOESNT MAKE TEAM USA," one fan said.
"Finally!!! I do love seeing Aho representing Finland," another fan said.

The event is exciting, but a few NHL fans believe the jerseys aren't adding to the intrigue.

These can be purchased on Ticketmaster, the first-hand source for most sporting events. Second-hand tickets will likely be available through StubHub and other sites after that.

The international event will see NHL players representing Canada, Finland, Sweden and the United States. They will play the seven games in Boston and Montreal only. These games will be held over a nine-day period from February 12 to February 20. The Bell Centre in Montreal will host four and TD Garden in Boston will host the remaining three. There will be no NHL All-Star Game next year as a result.
