Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk wrapped up his day with the Stanley Cup in a truly unique fashion. While visiting the Anheuser-Busch brewery, Tkachuk allowed one of the famous Budweiser Clydesdales to drink from the coveted trophy. NHL insider David R shared the moment on X, formerly Twitter, captioning it:
"Matthew Tkachuk is currently allowing a Budweiser Clydesdale to drink out of the Stanley Cup."
The video quickly went viral, and NHL fans started reacting to Tkachuk's image beside Budweiser Clydesdales, who was drinking from the Cup peacefully. Tkachuk was seen in blue shirt and black trouser giving him a gentle hug.
"Majestic, beautiful animal that delivers beer. Definitely deserves the honour," one fan commented,
"The cup has seen much worse," another fan said.
"Honestly if you've seen how these horses live it isn't odd at all. Those stables are nicer than my house." a fan said,
Here are some more fans reacting to Thakuck's image on X:
"Man. Hockey just does it right. Give each guy the trophy for a week and let them wreak havoc with it. This picture is so sick," a fan said.
"A Budweiser horse drinking out of the Stanley Cup thanks to a Tkachuk is about as American as it gets," another fan said,
"Has there not been one baby in the cup this year? What? I’m made of stone that’s adorable," a fan said.
"If anyone else thought they were having the best summer I have some bad news for you," one fan said.
Matthew Tkachuk visited Brentwood police and fire departments
Matthew Tkachuk celebrated his day with the Stanley Cup in a meaningful way. His journey began at Grassi’s Ristorante in Frontenac, Missouri, and included stops at his elementary school, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and Brentwood police and fire departments.
This visit was special since his grandfather was a fire chief, and Tkachuk remembered visiting fire stations as a child. At the fire department, Tkachuk tried on a fireman’s hat and took photos with firemen and their families. Brentwood assistant fire chief Ed Beirne appreciated Matthew Tkachuk’s visit:
“It’s an honor for us to actually be considered.
“Although we know the Tkachuk family is part of Brentwood, growing up around here, this is a massive effort to win the Cup. For them to remember and humble us by sharing his day with the Cup, I know he gets it for a short amount of time."
Tkachuk's family, including his brother Brady and father Keith, joined him at the police department, sharing special moments with the Cup.
