O'Reilly was placed on the long-injured reserve list after seeking medical attention, and it was revealed that he will require surgery for his broken finger. The surgery has been completed, but he will be off the ice until at least April 4 to recover.

However, there is some good news for Leafs fans, the team's head coach, Sheldon Keef, believes O'Reilly will be back in the lineup before the start of the playoffs.

#2 Luke Schenn 'D' is expected to return to the lineup on Wednesday, March 15

On February 28, the Toronto Maple Leafs acquired defenseman Luke Schenn from the Vancouver Canucks. Schenn has not played for the Leafs since March 4, when they were defeated 4-1 by the Canucks and has not been seen in action since March 4 due to personal reasons involving the birth of his child in Vancouver.
