The Calgary Flames will be getting a new arena called Scotia Place. Plans for the new 18,000-seat downtown sports and entertainment complex were leaked hours ahead of their official announcement.The new Calgary Flames home will replace the Scotiabank Saddledome, an arena that has been in service since 1983. While the announcement was met with justifiable enthusiasm, some fans weren’t entirely thrilled. Here’s a look at what these fans had to say about the Calgary Flames new building.“You cooked with fire this time,” one fan said.“Flames are never in the post season so what’s the outdoor space supposed to be used for?” another fan said.“Was expecting it to look way worse tbh,” a fan said.However, not all fans poked fun at Scotia Place’s proposed design for the Calgary Flames new digs. Other fans offered some helpful suggestions regarding the new arena’s proposed look. Here’s what these fans wrote:“Think it looks good, hope they really make those flames on the side of the building pop out at you at night. Would look dope if the whole building looked like it was on fire,” one fan said.“Similar design to the Bell Centre.
