WATCH: Ryan Donato and Connor Mackey have to be separated after getting into a fist fight

Ryan Donato got involved in a fight against Connor Mackey during Monday's matchup.

Ryan Donato of the Seattle Kraken and Connor Mackey of the Arizona Coyotes got themselves engaged in a fight during their matchup on Monday.

The altercation between the two players occurred during the final stage of the third period. Ryan Donato scored a goal for the Kraken and while doing so, Connor Mackey took a hit at Kraken's Daniel Sprong near the goal net.

The action from Mackey was not supported by Donato, who immediately after putting the net back into the net rushed in support of his teammate Sprong and engaged in a fight with the Coyotes' Connor Mackey.

However, no serious punches were landed by any player. While rushing towards Mackey in support of his teammate Daniel Sprong, Donato lost his balance and was down on the ice. Match officials had to step in to separate the two players.

Ryan Donato's Seattle Kraken down the Arizona Coyotes 8-1

On Monday, Kraken hosted the Arizona Coyotes at the Climate Pledge Arena. Kraken defeated the Coyotes with a huge 8-1 scoreline. The defeat marked the eighth straight loss for the Arizona Coyotes on the schedule.

Jordan Eberle scored the opener for the Kraken from a powerplay at 4:54 minutes of the first period. Jared McCann gave the team a 2-0 lead before heading into the second period.

Lawson Crouse scored for the Coyotes at 4:44 of the second period. However, it wasn't long before Carson Soucy scored the third goal for the Kraken at the 11:58 mark of the second period. Before heading into the final period, McCann scored his second goal of the night to make it 4-1 for the Kraken.

Will Borgen, Oliver Bjorkstrand, Morgan Geekie, and Ryan Donato all scored four goals in the final period of the game to sail the Seattle Kraken to a huge 8-1 win. Jared McCann had two goals and Ryan Donato scored a goal and an assist while Nitminder Philipp Grubauer made 20 saves on the night.

With the win, Seattle Kraken (42-26-8) is now three points clear of the Winnipeg Jets (43-31-3) in the Western Conference's Wild Card standings.

Seattle Kraken will next be in action against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday, March 4.
