YouTuber Zachery Dereniowski created a special video, focusing on spreading kindness and helping people.

Dereniowski asked fans if they wanted to buy Stanley Cup tickets for $1. He met two brothers, Davin and Eric, who are big Oilers fans.

"How big of a fan are you?" Dereniowski asked.
"Oh, I'm a big fan," Davin said.

Neither of them had ever been to a live game before.

Dereniowski told them that the tickets came from Wayne Gretzky and his son Ty Gretzky. He then said the tickets were theirs for just $2, and Davin opened the box.

"You will not be home tonight because the Gretzky family is inviting you to a Stanley Cup game tonight," Dereniowski said. " ... You're going."

Zachery also surprised them with $1,000 in cash.

Davin and Eric went to watch Game 1, which the Oilers won, and met Wayne at the arena.

Wayne, widely regarded as one of the greatest hockey players in NHL history, spent 20 seasons in the league from 1979 to 1999 and later became a coach. He asked the brothers "How are you?" and gave them signed Edmonton jerseys.

Paul Maurice backs Panthers and Oilers defense in Stanley Cup Final

Panthers coach Paul Maurice spoke with the media after the Stanley Cup Final practice on Sunday. He defended both the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers after the high-scoring games in the series.

Maurice said neither team played poor defense and praised the efforts of both goalies, Stuart Skinner and Sergei Bobrovsky.

“I don’t think either team’s played poor defensively at all," Maurice said. Like, I’m with that idea. The 2-1 game, like that’s more of what we’re accustomed to. That’s, we’re a defensive bent team. But you can watch the game and you know if your team’s playing as hard as it can defensively or if it’s mentally right.

"And I think both teams are. I don’t think either team, and the goaltending’s been good. Like, like really good.”

He stressed that both teams are working hard, blocking shots, backchecking and playing with full effort. Maurice also pointed out the physical style of the games, saying the Panthers give and take hits. He believes the high scores reflect elite offense, not weak defense.
