J.T. Miller could be on the move at the NHL Trade Deadline. With the Vancouver Canucks selling off pieces like Bo Horvat to the New York Islanders, there’s guaranteed to be interest around the league for players like Miller, Thatcher Demko, Elias Pettersson and others.

J.T. Miller is highly talented and has been a consistent performer for the Canucks. However, with the Canucks struggling to make the playoffs this season, there are rumors that Miller could be traded to a contender.

Miller is in the final year of a $5.25 million contract, which will go up to eight over the offseason. With the extension, Miller will also be given a no-move clause. If the Canucks want the entire market open to them in a Miller trade, now would be the time.

Here are five teams that could potentially trade for J.T. Miller:

#1 Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins have been one of the most successful teams in the NHL in recent years. However, they have struggled this season, and their lack of depth in the forward position has been a major concern.

J.T. Miller could be an excellent addition to the Bruins' top-six forward group, and he has a history with Bruins GM Don Sweeney, who drafted him in Boston in 2011. The Bruins have some good prospects and young players that could be appealing to Vancouver in a potential trade.

#2 Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins are another team that could use an offensive boost. They have several talented players, including Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, but have struggled to find consistent scoring from their other forwards.

J.T. Miller could be an excellent fit alongside either Crosby or Malkin, and he would add some much-needed depth to the Penguins' forward group. The Penguins have some intriguing prospects and young players that could be appealing to Vancouver in a potential trade.

#3 Minnesota Wild

The Minnesota Wild have been struggling in the NHL this season. They have a talented group of forwards, but they could use some more offensive firepower to help them make the playoffs.

J.T. Miller would be an excellent addition to the Wild's forward group, and his skill set would complement some of Minnesota's top scorers in Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy. The Wild have some young players and draft picks that could be appealing to Vancouver in a potential trade.

#4 Calgary Flames

The Calgary Flames have also struggled to find consistent scoring this season. They have some talented players, but they need more depth in the forward position to make a playoff run.

J.T. Miller would fit in well with the Flames' style of play, and his offensive ability would be a significant upgrade for the team. The Flames have some good young players and draft picks that could be appealing to Vancouver in a potential trade.

#5 Florida Panthers

The Florida Panthers are in a crucial win-now window, and acquiring J.T. Miller may be the final piece they need to stay competitive in the Eastern Conference.

Miller could slide in easily on the Panthers' second line. Aside from Aleksander Barkov, the Panthers' center line depth isn’t very good. The Panthers may be one of the few teams that will be able to take advantage of the aging Miller for the entire length of his contract.
