Tonight, the Edmonton Oilers will collide with the Utah Hockey Club in their first of three games on the road. While the team has its sights set on making a return to the Stanley Cup Finals, so far this season it has struggled to find consistency. Currently, the team is sitting in fifth place in a stacked Pacific Division, one point behind the Vancouver Canucks, and one point ahead of the Seattle Kraken.
On the flip side, the Utah Hockey Club is sitting in sixth place in the Central Division with a record of 9-10-3, three points ahead of the Chicago Blackhawks and two points behind the St. Louis Blues.
After a 6-2 win over the New York Rangers on Saturday, the Oilers are heading into their three-game road trip with some momentum. However, with that in mind, the team will be without several key players in tonight's game.
In addition to Evander Kane being on the long-term injured reserve list, and Viktor Arvidsson remaining out for another week, the team will also be without Zach Hyman, who is considered day-to-day.
The Oilers lines for tonight are expected to be as follows:

- LW Vasily Podkolzin - C Leon Draisaitl - RW Connor Brown
- LW Jeff Skinner - C Adam Henrique - RW Mattias Janmark

Looking at the odds for tonight's game between the Edmonton and Utah, as well as upcoming games on the Oilers schedule
Ahead of tonight's game between Edmonton and Utah, the Oilers are sitting as slight betting favorites, which shouldn't come as much of a surprise given their record this season when compared to Utah.
On FanDuel, Edmonton is a -166 favorite, while Utah is a +138 underdog. At the same time, on DraftKings, the Oilers are -166 favorites, whereas Utah is a +140 underdog.
This means that it would take a $166 bet on Edmonton as the favorites to win $100 whereas a $100 bet on Utah as the underdogs would win $140 if the odds don't change between the time of publication and puck drop.
Following tonight's game, the Oilers will be back in action again tomorrow when they head to Colorado for a game with the Avalanche. From there, they'll close out their three-game road stretch with a game against the Golden Knights on Tuesday, before returning home for a game against the Blue Jackets on Thursday.
The game will mark the beginning of a three-game home stretch for the team that'll see them host the St. Louis Blues on Dec. 7 and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Dec. 10.
