Looking at Detroit Red Wings' season so far and upcoming games
Heading into tonight's clash with the Chicago Blackhawks, the Detroit Red Wings are coming off a 2-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday. The win snapped a three-game skid for the team, which saw them fall to Buffalo on Oct. 26, Edmonton on Oct. 27 and Winnipeg on Oct. 30.
While they were able to bounce back at home on Saturday, their current record sits at 5-5-1 sees the team placed sixth in the Atlantic Division with 11 points.
After narrowly missing the playoffs last season, the Red Wings are eager to make a postseason return this year. Although they started the season off with just one win in the first four games, they have since gone 4-3.
Following the road trip to Chicago, the team will travel up to Toronto for a clash with the Maple Leafs on Friday before then returning home to close out the week against the New York Rangers. This will be the Red Wings last home game until Nov. 21 as Detroit embarks on a four-game road stretch starting on Nov. 13.
