Max Domi could be on the move.

As the March 3 trade deadline approaches, the Chicago Blackhawks appear to be ready to be busy sellers on the market. Another name associated with the Blackhawks that has surfaced in NHL trade rumors is left winger Max Domi.

Given recent trade rumors and speculation, the Blackhawks have received inquiries about Domi from other teams who are actively considering their options for the 27-year-old winger's services.

However, according to Elliotte Friedman of 32 Thoughts, the belief is that Domi is weighing his options to stay with the Blackhawks in the hope of extending his contract with the team.

Domi was the Arizona Coyotes' 12th overall first-round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and joined the Blackhawks on a $3 million contract on July 13, 2022.

Max Domi has been a valuable player for the Chicago Blackhawks this season. He has played in 53 games, contributing 36 points on 14 goals and 22 assists.

The stats aren't bad, and Domi is a player who will fit in with any team seeking to bolster their attacking lineup. The Blackhawks are currently in a rebuilding phase and will need to offload some of their veteran players as well.

Max Domi is a valuable asset for the Blackhawks in the trade market; but, given their other veteran players who are also thought to be staying at the club this tradeline, the Blackhawks will need to make a strategic move before making any decisions.

Where may Max Domi end up if he does not sign a contract extension?

If Max Domi does not sign a contract extension with the Blackhawks, he will want to join one of the league's biggest clubs. A team such as the Toronto Maple Leafs would be an ideal fit for his talents. On the "Jeff Marek Show," ESPN's Kristen Shilton discussed Domi's possible trade.

The Toronto Maple Leafs, she believes, would be an excellent fit for Domi. He also comes with an acceptable salary cap, which the Leafs shouldn't be concerned about.

However, it remains to be seen whether Chicago Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson will sign him to a new contract extension or demand top prospects in a trade.

Who are the other Chicago Blackhawks' players in the market?

Chicago Blackhawks' veteran players Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are among the other players that might be moved before March 3. Both legends are yet to make a decision on their future, but are open to any potential deal that comes their way.

Teams such as the New York Rangers, Dallas Stars, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vegas Golden Knights, Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals, Los Angeles Kings and Colorado Avalanche were some of the teams linked to the veterans.

They are still exploring their options. So it remains to be seen where these two legends will end up in the trade deadline.
