The NHL record book is dominated by none other than Wayne Gretzky, who secured numerous records during his illustrious playing career.

While he holds the majority of NHL records, it's rare for "The Great One" not to be the holder or at least among the top two or three on a list. However, there's one record where Wayne Gretzky isn't even in the top five: the record for the most goals scored in the Stanley Cup Final.

The record belongs to Maurice Richard, who tallied 34 goals in the Cup Final. Meanwhile, among active NHL players, a select few have consistently risen to the occasion in the championship series, cementing their legacies.

Here are the top five active NHL players with the most goals in the Stanley Cup Final:

The 36-year-old veteran has scored seven Stanley Cup Final goals, including his overtime winner that ended the Blackhawks' 49-year Cup drought in 2010. Kane is currently with the Detroit Red Wings, who did not qualify for the playoffs this year.

The 34-year-old has been in the league for over a decade and has accumulated eight goals in the Stanley Cup Final during his 10-year tenure with the Tampa Bay Lightning, while also winning the championship twice with the Bolts in 2020 and 2021. He currently plays for the New Jersey Devils, who were eliminated by the Washington Capitals in Round 1.
