While he holds the majority of NHL records, it's rare for "The Great One" not to be the holder or at least among the top two or three on a list. However, there's one record where Wayne Gretzky isn't even in the top five: the record for the most goals scored in the Stanley Cup Final.
The record belongs to Maurice Richard, who tallied 34 goals in the Cup Final. Meanwhile, among active NHL players, a select few have consistently risen to the occasion in the championship series, cementing their legacies.

Patrick Kane won the Stanley Cup three times during his 16-year tenure with the Chicago Blackhawks. The 36-year-old veteran has scored seven Stanley Cup Final goals, including his overtime winner that ended the Blackhawks' 49-year Cup drought in 2010. Kane is currently with the Detroit Red Wings, who did not qualify for the playoffs this year.

At number four is Pittsburgh Penguins stalwart Evgeni Malkin. The 38-year-old has won three championships with the Penguins over his 19-year career. Malkin has tallied eight goals in the Stanley Cup Finals. The Penguins missed the playoffs this season.
#3. Ondrej Palat
Ondrej Palat ranks third on the list. The 34-year-old has been in the league for over a decade and has accumulated eight goals in the Stanley Cup Final during his 10-year tenure with the Tampa Bay Lightning, while also winning the championship twice with the Bolts in 2020 and 2021. He currently plays for the New Jersey Devils, who were eliminated by the Washington Capitals in Round 1.

Corey Perry is the oldest player in this year's finals. The 40-year-old is competing in his sixth Stanley Cup Final and second with the Edmonton Oilers. He has scored the second-most goals in the final, with nine. Perry has one championship to his name, won with the Anaheim Ducks in 2007.

Brad Marchand currently leads all active players with the most Stanley Cup Final goals. His double-overtime winner in Game 2 against the Edmonton Oilers boosted his tally to 10 Cup Final goals. Marchand won the championship with the Boston Bruins in 2011 and is now in pursuit of his second with the Florida Panthers.
