NHL fans reacted to the 2024 NHLPA Rookie Showcase photoshoot on Wednesday. Every season, the NHLPA has some of the top rookies participate in a rookie showcase against each other ahead of the season.

It is a fun time for fans to see the next generation of NHL superstars. However, some fans were surprised at the players who were invited, including Matt Rempe who is entering his first full season with the New York Rangers.
"Why the hell is Rempe there," a fan added.
"Flames have one of the better prospect pools in the league, thanks for the invite," a fan added.
Of course, not every top prospect gets invited to the showcase, which didn't make the fans happy.
"Rutger is numberless lmaooo," a fan added.
"Not a single flames prospect there but a glorified enforcer? The disrespect the NHL is showing the Flames gets more ridiculous by year," a fan wrote.
"How in the sweet hell is the 2 time AHL goalie of the year and AHL mvp not there? You leave Dustin Wolf at home? Who picks these, does the NHLPA? Or is it a vote," a fan added.
Amid the criticism, some NHL fans were just excited to see their team's prospects.
"New Utah uniform on display with Josh Doan," a fan wrote.
The NHLPA Rookie Showcase took place at the MedStar Capitals IcePlex in Arlington, Virginia.
