American wrestler Amit Elor shared a major health update on social media ahead of her scheduled match against Alexandria Glaude at Final X. Elor qualified for Final X after she defeated Skylar Grote 2-1 at the 2025 World Team Trials Challenge Tournament at 72 kg, and was set to compete in the Final X, but is now effectively ruled out of competing due to anemia and existing injuries.
Amit Elor made her breakthrough at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where she became the youngest Olympic wrestler to win a gold medal. She comes from a wrestling family, with her sister Ronny and older brother Orry winning USA Wrestling Junior national titles.
Elor has gone on to have a highly decorated career, including winning two gold medals at the Senior World Championships. The 21-year-old is also an eight-time gold medalist at the World Championships across multiple age divisions.
In a post shared on Instagram, Elor announced that she would not be competing at Final X due to anemia. She wrote:
"Hi everyone, I’m sad to share that I will not be able to compete in Final X due to health reasons. I recently found out that I was anemic during the World Team Trials, which added up to be too much with my current injuries. In the meantime, I’m committed to safely working on strengthening my wrestling. I’m also very excited to contribute to the wrestling community by being more available for camps and clinics ❤️"
Amit Elor's absence from Final X means that Alexandria Glaude will receive a forfeit win and will automatically earn a U.S. World Team spot at 72 kg.
Amit Elor revealed her biggest focus ahead of Paris 2024 was trying not to get injured

Amit Elor previously discussed how she prepared for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The American wrestler competed at 68kg in Paris, defeating Meerim Zhumanazarova of Kyrgyzstan to win the gold medal.
In an interview with Bo Nickal, she said: (2:11 onwards)
"I'd say as far as that the preparation goes, it was similar to the World Championships. We have peaking, so there's going to be a really intense week, a moderate week and then a light week. For me my biggest focus was on not getting injured because I've just had so many little injuries over the past few years, and that can make or break the way I wrestle."
Outside of wrestling, Elor is also a purple belt in jiu-jitsu and enjoys cooking, baking, hiking and lifting.
