Mikaela Shiffrin flaunted her sweater following a celebration of Thanksgiving with her family, sharing a glimpse of the cozy and festive vibes at home. She also expressed hope for the well-being of her loved ones.
The 29-year-old clinched has had an impressive career during which, she established herself as one of the greatest alpine skiers of all time. Shiffrin amassed two Olympic gold medals while also bagging a silver.
The American recently took to Instagram to share her Thanksgiving celebration with family members, captioning the post:
"Thankful for... Matching sweaters.. @akilde snuggles.. training day hugs.. reindeer photobombs (but who's doing the photobombing, us or the reindeer?).. the health and happiness of those I hold dear, and everything in between. Happy Thanksgiving"!
She also posted a video showcasing her red sweater, saying:
"We have matching sweaters on!
"It's so cute. Said the person in the background.
"We just look like twins," Shiffrin added.
After a severe crash in January, Mikaela Shiffrin announced her engagement to fellow skier Aleksander Aamodt Kilde in April 2024.

The Norwegian Alpine skier suffered a serious crash at the January 2024 World Cup event in Wengen, Switzerland, requiring surgery and sidelining him from competition. He also developed a shoulder infection during rehabilitation.
Following her fiancé's recovery, Shiffrin took to Instagram to appreciate his journey on World Mental Health Day. She wrote:
"After several months apart, I'm finally back with this wonderful man for a few days! On this #WorldMentalHealthDay, I want to take a moment to recognize @akilde. Throughout all of the challenges he has faced this summer, he has taken it all in stride and continued to find reasons to smile. He's been courageous and honest and kind and patient, and I'm so thankful to have him not only as my fiancé- but as my role model in how to take on the challenges that life throws at us".
On November 23, Mikaela Shiffrin claimed her 99th career World Cup victory in the Gurgl slalom, securing her lead in the 2024/2024 Alpine Skiing FIS World Cup standings. She will next compete in the race in Killington, Vermont, in a bid to attain her 100th World Cup win. The event will take place during December 2024.
