Noah Lyles recently expressed his excitement about returning to the USATF NYC Grand Prix 2024. This event will be one of the final outdoor meets for the World Champion before he focuses completely on the coveted Olympic trials which are scheduled later in June.

Lyles began 2024 with great momentum in the indoor season. He stunned the world with a stellar 60m run at the USATF Indoor finals, clinching the gold medal and defeating fellow athlete Christian Coleman. It was Lyles' first 60m run after several years as he predominantly participated in the 100m and the 200m.

Noah Lyles, one of the most popular sprinters in the world, informed his fans about his next appearance on social media. He also took to X to preview his appearance at the USATF NYC Grand Prix 2024. He will return to the event as the defending champion in the 200m, his signature event.

"Oh shoot here we go again!" he captioned the post.

In 2023, Lyles dominated the USATF NYC Grand Prix, breezing through the finals and clocking 19.82 in the 200m to clinch the title. This year, the USATF NYC GRAND PRIX will be held at the Icahn Stadium, New York from 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM EDT on June 9.

Noah Lyles marched into the 2024 season as World Champion. At the 2023 World Championships, the American won three gold medals in the 100m, 200m and the 4x100m, a feat previously achieved by Usain Bolt, making him a part of the track and field 'greats'.

At the Tokyo Olympics, Lyles won the bronze medal in the 200m. However, this year he aims to go all out and set a record that has never been achieved before.

Lyles recently spoke to the Guardian about his goals for the Paris Olympics.

“Last year I went out there and won three gold medals,” he said. “This year I want to get four. And if I don’t get four, I am going after three world records. If I don’t succeed, I will try, try, try again.”

Lyles will have to participate in the 100m, 200m, 4x100m, and 4x400m relays to achieve his dream of winning four medals.
