On the June 4 episode of Candace, commentator Candace Owens shared insights on Ryan Reynolds amid Blake Lively's attempt to withdraw emotional distress claims against Justin Baldoni.

In her video, Owens read a fan comment claiming that Ryan Reynolds has recently put all the blame on Blake Lively and has backed away from "everything," seemingly referring to Lively's legal dispute with It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni.

Owens agreed to the fan's statement and called out Reynolds for not taking accountability for his own decisions and blaming others for his actions.

She suggested that his public image as a "funny guy" was just an illusion to mask his "vicious" personality.

"He's taking a pretty big beating publicly because no one really realized that he was this vicious. People just thought he was being funny and that he was only cosplaying as a jerk, and it turns out that he actually is a jerk."

Candace Owens further speculated that Reynolds might be losing his temper with his wife and team, claiming he is the driving force behind everything.

"I could see him being angry and lashing out and blaming Blake and everyone else, probably his PR team, his lawyers, everyone, and I think he definitely would be the fire that is keeping all of this moving," Owens added.

For the unversed, Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni on December 20, 2024, for alleged sexual assault and orchestrating a smear campaign against her.

In response, Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds in January 2025 for civil extortion and defamation.

However, on June 3, Lively's team requested to withdraw the 10th and 11th causes of action from the lawsuit, which claimed intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress, according to The BBC.

In January 2025, Candace Owens made a series of Instagram stories, claiming she received a tip from someone who worked on the set of the 2024 film It Ends With Us, according to The Hindustan Times.

"Yesterday I received a tip from someone who allegedly worked on the set of It Ends With Us. Lately everyone is bashing Blake Lively, but apparently the true villain in this saga is … Ryan Reynolds," Owens said.

The source said that the production assistants overheard an argument between Blake and Ryan in the trailer, and Reynolds later contacted the WME talent agency, demanding they remove Justin Baldoni from their roster.

"Here’s what I think likely happened. My opinion. Ryan Reynolds is grossly insecure. This, in part, motivated by the fact that he dates and [has] married women who are almost a decade younger than him."

Owens further claimed that Reynolds may have fueled the ongoing tensions between Blake and Justin, claiming that Blake was comfortable working in It Ends With Us until Ryan came to the set and "allegedly blew a fuse."

Subsequently, in the February 3 episode of Candace, Owens claimed that U.S President Donald Trump should "deport" Reynolds back to Canada, suggesting that this could be a way for the left and right wings to come together.

"We can all agree the moral crimes committed by Ryan Reynolds against Justin Baldoni are high treason."

The trial is scheduled for March 2026, following the legal back-and-forth between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively.
