America's Got Talent season 19 has made it to its Quarterfinals round 4, which is the last round of the coveted season, after which the selected contestants will go on to the semi-finals.
Amid the intensifying season 19, fans of America's Got Talent are wondering what the winners of its previous seasons are up to. Since the show began in 2006, there have been 18 winners across its 18 completed seasons.
Most of these winners have utilized the fame gained from the America's Got Talent stage to build successful careers out of their unique talents.
Where are the past winners of America's Got Talent now?
1) Bianca Ryan
The first ever America's Got Talent winner was only 11 when she won it. She stole the show with her rendition of And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going by Jennifer Hudson.
Bianca returned for AGT: The Champions in 2020 and also sang at Madison Square Garden ahead of Jake Paul's boxing match in 2022. She does tours and events and continues to make her own music.
2) Terry Faton
Terry was a ventriloquist who earned the win with his unmatched singing skills. Since then, he has been on the show multiple times as a guest performer. In 2021, Terry started his own show called Who's the Dummy Now and also appeared in the 2023 All-Stars season of the show.
3) Neal E. Boyd
Neal made a mark with his audition, a rendition of Puccini's Nessun Doma. He released his own album, My American Dream, in 2009. However, Neal passed away in 2018 at the age of 42.
4) Kevin Skinner
Kevin's audition featured the song If Tomorrow Never Comes by Garth Brooks. After releasing his own album Long Ride in 2010, he has remained out of the public eye.
5) Michael Grimm
Michael was yet another musician who took home the trophy after performing You Don't Know Me in auditions. Like other winners of the show, he has appeared several times on different seasons of AGT as a guest performer. He also keeps doing tours and events, with the latest one being in 2023, which covered several states of the US.
6) Landau Eugene Murphy Jr.
Landau was yet another singer to bag the title. He performed I've Got You Under My Skin by Bono and Frank Sinatra in auditions. He then went on to release his own album That's Life in 2011, which made it to Billboard No.1 on Jazz Charts. He also uses his platform to do charity.
7) Olate Dogs
The first dog act to win the show was a duo who came with their puppies. After bagging the grand prize, they proceeded to give performances across the country. In 2014, they partnered with the Humane Society. Their last Instagram post dates back to 2018, when they took their show, Circus Royal Spectacular, on the road.
8) Kenichi Ebina
Dancer Kenichi won many hearts with his Matrix-like performance in the auditions. After winning the show, he competed in The Champions Show of the franchise in 2019. After that, he performed across various countries, such as Japan and Dubai. He continues to teach and choreograph apart from performing.
9) Mat Franco
Mat was an illusionist who stunned the audience with his audition performance. Since then, he has performed on various seasons as a guest performer. He also keeps posting his reels on Instagram reels. He welcomed his first child with his wife in 2023.
10) Paul Zerdin
This ventriloquist tickled the funny bones with his comic timing. He also returned to perform in the The Champions segment of America's Got Talent in 2019. Since then, he has kept performing in his home country of the United Kingdom.
11) Grace VanderWaal
Grace won the show at just 12 years of age with her ukulele skills and soulful lyrics. She released her first album in 2017, Just the Beginning. Since then, she has signed up with IMG models and starred in films such as Stargirl and its sequel. She is also said to be a part of Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis.
12) Darci Lynne Farmer
Another ventriloquist, Darci, was unique to herself because she could make her puppet sing. She also appeared on The Champions segment of America's Got Talent, where she was placed second. She then toured across the country with her puppets. Like Grace, Darci also appeared in a few shows and movies, such as A Cowgirl's Song and Fancy Nancy series.
13) Shin Lim
Shin was a magician who, right from the auditions, stole the show with his tricks. He also won The Champions segment of the show, becoming the only person to win the competition twice. Thereafter, Shin took shows such as The Tonight Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, etc. He continues to show his talent at The Mirage Hotel, where he holds a residency.
14) Kodi Lee
Kodi Lee, who is blind and autistic, gave a heartwarming performance with his singing and piano skills. He also continues to play America's Got Talent's live show at Luxor in Vegas.
15) Brandon Leake
Brandon was the first poet to win the show. After winning the show, Brandon released his own book of poems, Unraveling. He continues to perform at AGT's Vegas residency show.
16) Dustin Tavella
Dustin was yet another magician who won the show. He too continues to showcase his talent at America's Got Talent's Luxor residency.
17) The Mayyas
The female dance troupe from Lebanon impressed right from the audition rounds. In 2023, they accompanied Beyoncé for a dance routine at Atlantis The Royal.
18) Adrian Stoica and Hurricane
Adrian Stoica and Hurricane, yet another dog act to win the show. They had the support of the audience since they headlined the auditions. Their fame now permits them to tour around the world.
