Love Island UK season 12 episode 2 premired on ITV on June 10, 2025. The episode was very stressful for Shakira, as she was the only single contestant in the villa and had to find a partner before the end of the day, or else she would get eliminated.
Shakira tried her best to find a match and had a conversation with several guys to see if there was any connection for her to pursue. The plan worked, and by the end of the episode, she had three guys—Blu, Conor, and Harry—who wanted to couple up with her.
The Love Island UK contestant had to pick one out of the three guys. However, the decision was a hard one for her, as the female partner of the guy she chose would be eliminated in her place.

"It's an incredibly difficult decision to make, especially because it means someone else is leaving tonight rather than myself, but I have to go with what my gut says," she said.
Shakira eventually chose Harry, sharing that they have a "fun banter" between them. This meant Harry's initial partner Sophie, was left single and had to exit the show.

At the end of Love Island UK season 12 episode 1, bombshell Toni Laites made her entry and got the opportunity to couple up with any guy she wanted. She picked Ben, and this left Shakira without a partner.
Host Maya Jama informed the single contestant that she had a day to find a guy in the villa who would pair up with her. The female partner of the chosen guy would be eliminated. However, if she failed to get a partner, then she who would be sent home packing.
At the end of episode 2, Maya once again gathered everyone around the fire pit. She called out to Shakira to stand beside her, facing her fellow Love Island UK contestant as she made her decision.
Maya then turned to the male Islanders, asking them to stand if they felt they had a stronger connection with Shakira than with their current partners. One by one, Blu, Conor, and Harry stood up, leaving their partners and the rest of the villa stunned.
"If you choose to couple up with Shakira, your current girl could be dumped from the island immediately. OK, boys. If you know you have a stronger connection with Shakira than who you're currently coupled up with. Then please stand up," the Love Island UK host announced.
Shakira had a visible smile on her face when she saw three guys wanting to leave their respective partners for her. It was now up to her to choose. She eventually got emotional over the fact that she would be responsible for someone's elimination and turned to Maya for any sort of help.
"Let me just get this straight. Whoever I pick, that girl gets stalled. I still don't know which one I'm picking," Shakira whispered to Maya.
Maya advised Shakira to go with whom she felt she had the best connection with. The host told her not to let the other things get in the way of that because she might regret it later.
After giving it some thought, Shakira chose to go with Harry, who had been paired with Sophie, resulting in her elimination from the villa.
"I've enjoyed speaking to this boy and he really makes me laugh and we get on very well. We have a very interesting, fun banter with each other and I'm definetly looking forward to getting to know him more. The boy I would like to couple up with is. Harry," Shakira said before choosing Harry.
