Love Island USA season 7 episode 8 was released on June 10. It documented the cast members trying to achieve new feats in their existing relationships. While Huda and Jeremiah's connection strengthened, they opened up about how they still wanted to keep their options open.
The previous episode saw Ace beefing with his new partner, Amaya. In episode 8, their beef continued, and they kept growing apart. He refused to cuddle with her at night, while she got annoyed with the fact that he was cozying up to Chelley and not putting in the same effort into their relationship.
She confronted Chelley about the same and called her out for not letting her know the connection she was feeling with her man. Chelley didn't agree with what she was being accused of. Further in the episode, when Chelley chatted with Ace, they hit it off again, and it left her contemplating her decision to be with Austin.

The fight between Chelley and Amaya on Love Island USA season 7 episode 8
In the women's dressing room, Amaya told Chelley that she wanted to talk to her because she had seen Ace and her chatting privately the night before. She told her that she cried to her about the problems she was having with Ace, and Chelley had ample opportunities to tell her what was going on between Ace and her.
Amaya said she could have told her if she still felt a connection with him and wanted to explore it. She added that Chelley not telling her anything made her wonder if she was a genuine friend. She wondered if Chelley was there for her or if she was gathering information to see if she could forge a connection with Ace.
"It's just weird," added Amaya.
While Chelley said she completely understood where Amaya was coming from, Amaya mentioned that she saw them hugging and connecting. Chelley noted that she had told her that nothing had changed between Ace and her. Amaya refused to believe it and called the situation crazy.
Amaya then told her that she could have him, while Chelley took to a Love Island USA confessional to say that Amaya had "misplaced energy" towards her and that she had told her she was going to explore her other connections. She also felt like she hadn't done anything wrong.
What happened between Chelley and Ace in Love Island USA season 7 episode 8?
When Chelley and Ace chatted privately, she noticed the sunlight falling on his face. He said it may have been a sign, while she complimented how it fell on him. Then, during the throw the pie challenge, Chelley and Ace had the opportunity to kiss and they did.
Austin said that he hadn't kissed Chelley, his current partner, the way he was kissing Ace. During the episode, Ace also told Chelley that he thought they had the best communication in the Love Island USA villa. He apologized to her for the fight she had with Amaya because it was because of his lack of communication.
"I feel like I want to know Ace for real," Chelley said.
She told him that she felt like he had a wall up and she couldn't get past it. But she didn't feel that during their current chat. She said in a confessional that Ace understood her, so her connection with him felt special.
