Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist, who tied the knot in The Golden Bachelor, separated on April 12, 2024. Tyler Cameron has now responded to the divorce while appearing on SiriusXM on Thursday, April 18. Cameron emerged as the runner-up in the 15th season of The Bachelorette. He said:

"They have put a true stain on love in the Bachelor world. Three months? They make all my relationships seem very long. Golly. I'm a dating expert compared to them."

The news of Turner and Nist's split came three months after their wedding. The duo confirmed the same while appearing on Good Morning America, saying that both of them decided to go their separate ways after having some conversations and considering the current condition of the relationship.

Gerry, 72, and Theresa, 70, said that there were a lot of issues that created distance between them and that they were planning to settle somewhere. They were looking for houses in South Carolina, and Theresa addressed the same by saying:

"We looked at home after home, but we never got to the point where we made that decision."

Tyler Cameron mentions his theory which possibly led to Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist's separation: Interview statements explored

During his appearance on the Today Show Radio on SiriusXM, Tyler Cameron spoke up about Turner and Nist's divorce, saying that it was impossible to believe the news. Furthermore, Cameron referred to his father and addressed a theory on the circumstances resulting in the former couple's split.

"My dad, he's old, he's set in his ways and he's single and he can't find anyone that wants to deal with the stuff he does. And I'm like, 'Well, I don't blame them, Dad.' But he doesn't want to change much either and I imagine Garry and Theresa… don't want to change their ways."

Tyler Cameron added that Gerry was possibly not ready to "leave Indiana where his family is," and the same applied to Nist, who has been staying in New Jersey. He ended by saying:

"Like it's just two stubborn old people, you know, and when you get older you get more stubborn."

The reason behind Turner and Nist's separation remains a mystery. While speaking on Good Morning America, the pair stated that they have been supported by the fans of The Golden Bachelor and were told by many people that they "gave them so much hope."

Gerry and Theresa stated that the former's past was not the reason for the split, and in another interview with ABC News, the pair said that they would share a close friendship. Referring to Nist, Turner also said:

"I still love this person. There's no doubt in my mind, I still am in love with her. I root for her every day."
