The Valley is a spin-off show taking its cue from Vanderpump Rules. It debuted on March 19, 2024, and airs on Tuesdays at 9 pm ET on Bravo. The latest episode, titled The 'D' Word, premiered on April 16. In it, Kristen tries to convince the other cast members to join her side, but the outcome is not in her favor.

On the other hand, after the women chose Malibu as their much needed weekend vacation destination, the men were left to themselves. In other scenes, Michelle and Brittany began slinging mud at each other regarding their crumbling relationship. Most importantly, the 'D' word was tossed around several times.

The Valley has been developed as the fourth Vanderpump Rules spin-off. The narrative of the show centers around five couples who try their best to succeed in adulting in the San Fernando Valley, California.

The primary cast consists of Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, Luke Broderick, Kristen Doute, Danny Booko, Nia Booko, Janet Caperna, Jason Caperna, Jason Lally, and Michelle Lally.

What happened on The Valley episode 5?

The latest episode of The Valley started on a sour note between Jax and Brittany. In the opening scene, the audience learns that, of all things, Jax is obssessed with his leaf blower! Viewers are further told that Jax is decking up the house for an upcoming pool party with his boys. The cameras glance over the exquisitely clean interior of their home when Jax remarks that he is the only one who almost always does all the cleaning.

On the other hand, Brittany seemed to have overlooked this comment from Jax as she was finishing her preparations for her overnight trip. But there might be cracks under the surface of their relationship, as she eventually said:

"I love Jax, but I literally try to be happy and positive and Jax is a lot of the time moody and negative."

On to the Malibu trip, everything seemed to be going alright, at least for a while. The women had a good time carousing and drinking before they decided to paint on pottery or a canvas. The air in the room gradually shifted with Kristen's arrival.

While Kristen tried her best to amend her broken bridges with the rest of the cast members, all she got was a cold shoulder in return. Michelle categorically told her not to have children as that would mean enlarging her presence. Additionally, Nia opened up and shared her struggle with baby blues.

Furthermore, The Valley episode 5 revealed the bone of contention between Brittany and Jax as a clash of personalities. Brittany reveals that Jax is almost always on her nerves. She relates an incident while she was sick, and Jax had to annoy her to the point of frustration by scolding her for having a drink.

On the other hand, all is not well with Jesse and Michelle. During the last episode, it was revealed that the couples therapy wasn't much use to them. Michelle even admitted being more unhappy than happy. While Michelle grieved about the distance between herself and Jesse, the latter dismissed all her complaints.

The episode drew near its end, with Luke on the verge of making a bombastic revelation. He claimed to have dirt on Michelle, which might end her relationship with Jesse. We have to wait for the next episode to find out what that is!

The Valley airs every Tuesday at 9 pm ET on Bravo.
