Call Her Alex, named as a homage to the hit podcast Call Her Daddy, is a docu-series that spotlights Alex Cooper's life, journey, and success. The two-part series gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the influencer's life as she prepares for her first tour and documents the milestones that shaped her successful career.
Directed by Ry Russo-Young, Call Her Alex premiered on Hulu with both episodes on June 10, 2025. Russo-Young is widely known for directing the movie Before I Fall, which is based on Lauren Oliver's eponymous novel. She has also directed the film The Sun Is Also a Star and the HBO docu-series, Nuclear Family.
Alex Cooper started the Call Her Daddy podcast with her friend Sofia Franklyn in 2018. However, Franklyn departed the show in 2021, leaving Cooper to host it on her own. Three years later, Cooper signed a $125 million deal with SiriusXM, making it the new distribution and advertising partner for the podcast.

Call Her Daddy host revealed her goal behind Call Her Alex
Call Her Alex premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 8, 2025, which was followed by a Q&A featuring Russo-Young and Cooper herself. As stated in a report from PEOPLE published on April 29, 2025, the Call Her Daddy podcaster opened up about the documentary in a press release ahead of its premiere.
"I’ve shared my life with the Daddy Gang since I started Call Her Daddy — but this documentary series takes it even deeper. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the moments that shaped me — the raw, the messy, the personal stuff I’ve never felt comfortable sharing until now," Cooper stated.
The Unwell Network founder further said:
"My hope is that by bringing people along for this part of my journey, they’ll feel both more connected to my life and more empowered in their own."
Raised in Pennsylvania, Alex Cooper is the youngest of three siblings. After finishing high school in New Jersey, she enrolled at Boston University in 2013 to study film and television. During her time there, she also played on the university’s Division I soccer team.
After graduation, Cooper moved to New York, where she worked in advertising sales before launching the Call Her Daddy podcast with her roommate in 2018. Since Cooper started hosting the podcast alone, she has interviewed celebrities such as Kamala Harris, Jane Fonda, Hailey Bieber, and Miley Cyrus.
Call Her Alex is available to stream on Hulu.
