In the first episode of Get Millie Black season 1, Millie and her detective partner Curtis investigate the disappearance of the 16-year-old Janet Fenton. She is reported to be missing since two weeks by her teacher, Sister Agatha.

After the detectives visit Janet's home, they learn that she worked as a pole dancer at the Hot Pinky strip club.

A dancer at the strip club informs Millie that Janet was sleeping with the club's owner, Freddie Summerville. Freddie belonged to a rich family and had a reputation for dating underaged ghetto girls.

On visiting Freddie’s wealthy parents, the detectives learn that Janet was last seen carrying a shopping bag from Bonnie’s baby boutique, which makes Millie think Janet was pregnant.

However, she later finds out that Janet bought clothes for a child aged between 7 to 9 years from the children's store.

Millie receives a tip from Alicia Bonnett, manager of Hot Pinky, about Freddie's last location. Alicia reveals that she got the information from one of her associates, who followed Corsica. The latter is a former prisoner who served jail time in the UK and returned to Kingston to apparently kill Freddie and Janet.

Millie and Curtis head to Freddie's property, Luke Crescent, to confront him about Janet. Once inside, Millie finds Janet but there is no indication of Freddie's whereabouts. She informs Millie that Freddie is supposed to come back and take her to England with him.

All of a sudden, Millie, Curtis, and Janet find themselves surrounded by gangsters in what looks like a shootout. Millie ducks behind the sofa with Janet.

However, Curtis gets shot multiple times and his condition seems dire at the end of the episode. The gang members manage to escape, except the one who gets shot down by Millie.

The investigation takes an unexpected turn after the detectives are told that Freddie has been killed at one of his many properties. They head to the crime scene and, after taking a close look at the dead body, realize that it does not belong to Freddie.

Freddie had a piercing on his left ear, which is missing from the dead body.

Millie also finds a positive pregnancy test in the bin, confirming her suspicions about Janet. The crime scene looks like a robbery gone wrong. Millie believes that Freddie killed the intruder and faked his own death to escape.

She gets more information about Freddie's past from officer Luke Holborn of the Scotland Yard. He arrives in Jamaica to investigate Freddie's involvement in a case that ties back to the United Kingdom.

Millie suspects that Freddie's actions in the UK may be connected to his attempted murder.
