Well-known actor Johnny Wactor was shot dead on May 25, 2024, during a robbery incident that happened in Los Angeles. He was 37 years old at the time of death. The news was confirmed by Johnny's mother Scarlett, along with agent, David Shaul.

Scarlett explained the entire robbery incident, saying that three men attempted to steal a catalytic converter from Johnny's vehicle. While Johnny did not rush to stop the men, he was shot and immediately hospitalized as soon as the Los Angeles Police Department arrived at the spot. The suspects ran away after the incident and an investigation has been launched.

Johnny Wactor portrayed a variety of roles over the years, including Gunny Thompson in Westworld. He was even popular for his appearance as Brando Corbin in the soap opera, General Hospital. The official Instagram page of the show also shared a tribute post which reads:

"The entire General Hospital family is heartbroken to hear of Johnny Wactor's untimely passing. He was truly one of a kind and a pleasure to work with each and every day. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones during this difficult time."

In a statement, Johnny's agent David Shaul said that he was a moral example to those who have known him for a long time. David continued:

"Standing for hard work, tenacity and a never give up attitude. In the highs and lows of a challenging profession he always kept his chin up and kept striving for the best he could be."

As mentioned, Johnny played Brando Corbin in General Hospital, which turned out to be one of the most popular roles in his credits. It was a recurring character on the show who made his first appearance in 2020 and was removed by 2022.

Mike Corbin first mentioned Brando in the show and he was born to Mike's cousin Gladys. He even saved Carly Corinthos when she was attacked by Cyrus Renault's men but was shot in the confrontation. He was injured in another instance after being stabbed with a hook.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Johnny Wactor's television career started in 2007 with Army Wives. He was an expert in sports, including basketball, and pursued his education accordingly based on his passion for acting. Johnny enrolled at the Elizabeth Mestnik Acting Studio and Stuart Rogers Studios to work on the skills.

Furthermore, he participated in theater shows when he was a school student. He obtained a degree in science and arts alongside business administration from the College of Charleston. He was even a member of the Charleston Arena Soccer League.

The Charleston, South Carolina native portrayed important roles in TV shows such as The Passenger, Siberia, Agent X, and Criminal Minds. During the initial phase, he made a few guest appearances and later gained recognition for being cast in films like Ever, Dead Talk Tales: Volume I, and Menthol.

While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, a representative for Johnny Wactor, Sarabeth Schedeen, said that pushed himself hard in terms of the roles and "stood for moral greatness in all areas." As mentioned, the Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating his death and further updates are currently awaited.
