On March 28, 2024, African American contemporary artist Nina Chanel Abney unveiled an all-new variation of the Air Jordan 3 signature Jumpman silhouette. This latest collaboration between Jordan Brand and Nina Chanel Abney will offer a reimagined colorway of Air Jordan 3 decked in a Bicoastal/Black-Malachite-Fossil palette.

The capsule was a result of the Jordan Brand line opening its doors to emerging artist Nina Chanel Abney, who is based in New York. Exactly two years after making her unforgettable debut, Abney is getting ready to leave her mark on yet another timeless silhouette: the Air Jordan 3.

Abney shared pictures of her most recent creation on Instagram ahead of its highly anticipated release this summer. The forthcoming Nina Chanel Jordan 3s feature a rich color scheme of Bicoastal and Malachite greens that add exciting color to the classic design, paying homage to Abney's distinct vision.

The upper body of these shoes is constructed with a combination of fine suede and canvas, which results in a textural depth that is not only visually striking but also tactile.

A cohesive accent is added to the overall look by the selection of Fossil-colored midsoles, which are further enhanced by laces, eyelets, and interiors. Additionally, a custom heel back is included in the design with the intention of balancing the vivid greens with an earthy contrast.

One of the most notable features of these Air Jordan 3s is the inclusion of thicker roped laces, a detail that is not typically seen on Air Jordan models.
