On September 25, 2024, Twitch streamer Smokezenith took to X to accuse another content creator SystemZake of harassing her at TwitchCon 2024 in San Diego. She posted a 53-second video of her IRL livestream from Sunday, September 22, 2024, in which she interacted with SystemZake at the convention.
In the video, SystemZake was seen placing his face on Smokezenith's chest. When Smokezenith expressed her surprise at what was happening, SystemZake said:
"It's okay. It's fine. I have to move on from that or I'm going to die."
Smokezenith elaborated on this interaction in an X post, stating that SystemZake "m**orboated her" after he "rested his head" on her chest. Additionally, she said the streamer inappropriately touched her:
"I was IRL streaming Sunday after TwitchCon when I met up with systemzake. At one point, he rested his head on my chest and then proceeded to m**orboat me. After that, he said, 'Chat look at her face,' then grabbed my a** and said, 'They don't know what happened.'"
Saying the interaction made her "feel absolutely disgusting," Smokezenith asserted that SystemZake's behavior "isn't okay":
"I wasn't going to post about it, but this s**t makes me feel absolutely disgusting. I've had this on my mind for three days now and just can't forget it. This was all within an hour of meeting each other too. This isn't okay, man."
In a follow-up post, she accused SystemZake of "committing a crime":
"On top of this, I'm disappointed in the people who were present in my chat at this time, saying, 'MY MAN ZAKEY!', 'LMAO, did Zakey just cop a feel?", and 'I honestly can't blame him,' yes, he committed a crime on my livestream. He did do that."
"I understand the full severity of my actions" - Twitch streamer SystemZake responds to Smokezenith's accusations
On September 26, 2024, Twitch streamer SystemZake posted a series of X posts to respond to Smokezenith's accusations.
Claiming that he made a "huge mistake" on Sunday evening, SystemZake stated that he turned the evening into a "painful and harrowing experience" for Smokezenith. While taking accountability for his actions, the gaming content creator wrote:
"As some of you may already know, I made a huge mistake Sunday evening. I turned what was supposed to be a fun evening into a now painful and harrowing experience for a fellow Twitch streamer. I crossed the line. I understand the full severity of my actions. I am ashamed and truly."
SystemZake apologized to Smokezenith and her fans, saying his actions were "not an example of acceptable behavior":
"Furthermore, I once again, not only, want to apologize to her but also to her fans, to anyone who witnessed my behavior, to all those who have found in a similar position to her, and to my own friends and fans. This is not the person I want to be and this is not an example of acceptable behavior from anyone. There is no way to excuse or take back my actions. Regardless of context, you cannot make light of my behavior and my disregard for boundaries and trust."
