On June 10, 2025, controversial streamer Jack Doherty reportedly had his chain taken by Atlanta-based hip-hop artist Dominique "Lil Baby" Jones. This isn't the first time the two personalities have been seen interacting with each other. In October 2024, Doherty allegedly paid Lil Baby $200,000 for a private performance of about seven songs at his birthday celebration.
Reports indicate that, in the events leading up to the chain being taken, Jack Doherty was at a nightclub where the rapper performed a set. During the performance, Baby, after speaking a few words into the streamer's ear, appeared in the camera frame with a supposed diamond necklace in his right hand, a piece of jewelry Doherty was seen closely eyeing.
Later, following the performance, Jack Doherty stepped outside to retrieve the chain, which he claimed was his. While searching for the hip-hop artist, Doherty spoke about the situation:
"He took my chain while he was performing and didn't give it back. He has my chain, bro. What the f**k, dawg? You guys aren't getting away with... like, what? That's crazy if he thinks he taking my $200,000 chain."
After some time spent searching for the rapper, Doherty finally caught Lil Baby at the wheel of a black Mercedes G-Wagon, leaving the nightclub. It was here that the streamer demanded his chain back. Baby, visibly confused, was initially unable to formulate a cohesive response:
"Bro, I need my chain, bro! Bro, I need my chain bro!"
"Lawsuit... call the police": Lil Baby asks Jack Doherty to take legal action for his $200,000 chain
Instead of telling Jack Doherty where the chain was, Lil Baby resorted to a small shimmy, dancing with his hands as he smiled, looking at the streamer. Doherty's frustration seemed to only grow from here, and he demanded that his chain be returned immediately:
"No, bro! I need that chain, dawg! ('Uh, I'll call you,' mumbled Lil Baby) No, bro! I need it right now! We're not... No, bro, you're not taking that!"
Trying to wrap up the situation, Baby offered a solution, asking the streamer to take the matter to court, as he rolled up his window, ending the conversation:
"Lawsuit, lawsuit... call the police ('Alright, bro, it's on camera, like what?,' said Jack Doherty)."
As the rapper left, Jack looked around in disbelief, saying:
"Like, what?! He thinks he can take my chain and get away with it? It's hilarious!... There's no way this is real..."
Interestingly enough, Lil Baby allegedly offered to purchase Jack a new chain after he was reportedly robbed of $300,000 worth of jewelry in April 2025 on Rodeo Drive. In May, Doherty ran into the rapper while outside, and later, the steamer's cameraman mentioned that Baby may have a gift for him:
"Jack, you didn't hear him? He said he got a chain for you. ('Who?' asked Doherty) Lil Baby."
In other news, FaZe Adapt implied that Jack Doherty orchestrated the collaboration between McKinley Richardson and FaZe Lacy to promote adult content.
