Popular Twitch streamer Jeremy "Jerma985," or simply "Jerma," has given a big update about his streaming career. During the concluding moments of his broadcast on May 27, 2024, Jerma985's attention was drawn to a viewer who asked if he "implied" that he "won at livestreaming." The content creator responded, saying he had "gotten everything he wanted." Claiming it was time to "slow it down and stop," Jeremy said:

"'Are you implying that you won at streaming?' No, I'm implying that I got everything I wanted out of it. I got everything I could've ever dreamed of in my entire life. So... I think it's time to slow it down and stop, and do whenever I want. You know? I have got everything that I ever wanted out of this particular thing in my life, right?"

A few moments later, Jerma985 explained why he was not issuing a "statement" to announce his retirement from livestreaming. He elaborated:

"I know, it's like, 'Should you make a statement about it?' I don't know. Because if I make a statement, it's kind of making it a... solidified, 'Here is exactly...' but I don't even know what happens from here. I really just don't."

The 38-year-old then stated that he had reached a point where he felt "done with" livestreaming as a career choice. He added:

"All I know is that I hit that point where I'm kind of done with it, as like, I want to say a career choice. And now, it's just when I feel like it. It's flip-flopping around."

"You should absolutely see me as completely retired" - Twitch streamer Jerma985 shares big announcement about his livestreaming career

Jerma985 continued the conversation, stating that fans should consider him "completely retired" from livestreaming. The Twitch streamer went on to say that this was the "last time" he would be discussing the matter:

"You should absolutely see me as completely retired. That's just the way it is. That doesn't mean that I can't still do stuff. I know it feels like we talk about this literally every single time I go live. And, I think, we're not going to do that anymore. I think this is the last time you're ever going to hear me talk about this."

Jerma985 is a Twitch veteran who joined the Amazon-owned platform in August 2011. He is a well-known variety gamer, having played over 770 titles on his channel. At the time of writing, Jerma boasted 1,442,712 followers and averaged more than 19.1k viewers per stream.
