"It really irks me" - Jacksfilms accuses just the nobodys podcast of stealing content from his video editor

Popular YouTuber John "Jacksfilms" has accused another content creator, just the nobodys podcast, of stealing content from his friend and video editor. In a video titled, When a large youtube steals your friend's content..., Jacksfilms called out just the nobodys recent video, in which they discussed a theory about Adam Sandler's movies being part of the same universe.

According to Jacksfilms, "everything" said in the video by just the nobodys was "stolen" from Shawn Kohne, another YouTuber with a mere 16,000 subscribers:

"There's a fairly large YouTube channel called, 'just the nobodys,' who just posted a fun little theory on how all the Adam Sandler movies are connected, and live in the same universe - the Sandlerverse. The problem is that everything they say is stolen from the original creator, Shawn, TheUniBaller. Even this graphic was made by Shawn."

The 36-year-old claimed that just the nobodys "admitted to stealing" Shawn Kohne's ideas. He went on to say that they had previously "summarized bits" from the latter's old videos:

"They've actually admitted to stealing from Shawn, in their pinned comments, they say, 'Credit to Shawn for making this.' When I called them out, they wrote, 'Well, if you look at our other videos regarding the Sandlerverse, we always give credit to Shawn.' So, time out, they've done this before? Yep, I've watched more of their slop, and it gets even lazier. They literally just summarized bits from Shawn's video, while saying things like, 'I love this movie!'"

The YouTuber then explained why he cared about the situation, with one of the reasons being that he was "irked" by someone stealing his friend's content:

"Why do I care so much? Well, two reasons. One - I've been fighting content thieves for as long as I've been on YouTube, which is a very long time. And second, Shawn, the actual guy who made this, isn't just one of my close friends, he's also one of my editors. And I personally know just how much he put into those Sandlerverse videos. Hell, I'm on one of them."

He added:

"So, it really irks me when someone steals from one of my people. Look, there's nothing wrong with referencing someone else's video. But add something to it! Tell us your perspective! Make it transformative!"

On September 3, 2024, Jacksfilms provided an update via a pinned YouTube comment. He claimed that just the nobodys podcast deleted their video after he called them out for stealing content and wondered who else's content the YouTubers had stolen from.

This is not the first time Jacksfilms has called out a popular YouTuber for stealing content. Last year, he and Alia "SSSniperwolf" got embroiled in a major controversy, which resulted in the latter doxxing him amid their heated feud.
