Kai Cenat has achieved yet another milestone in his Twitch career, surpassing the 600,000 subscriber mark on day 27 of his month-long Mafiathon 2 stream. He began the marathon on November 1, 2024, and still has three days left to increase this figure.
Cenat reclaimed the title of the streamer with the most concurrent Twitch subscribers within the first two weeks, surpassing Ironmouse's previous record of 326,000, set earlier this year during her fundraiser for the Immune Deficiency Fund. Inspired by Ironmouse, he has pledged 20% of all proceeds from Mafiathon 2 toward building a school in Nigeria.
With a few days remaining before the subathon ends, Kai Cenat is on track to get many more subscribers. He even has a big Thanksgiving stream planned for November 27, 2024, featuring Kevin Hart and Druski.
Kai Cenat gives a speech addressing his chat a day after magician Max Majors controversy
Kai Cenat is one of the most popular Twitch streamers globally, and 2024 has been a highly successful year for him. He has received five nominations at the Streamer Awards, including one for the Mafiathon 2 stream, where he has been broadcasting 24/7 since November 11.
During this period, Cenat has collaborated with various celebrities, such as Kodak Black, Snoop Dogg, Lil Uzi Vert, and many other YouTubers and content creators. After reaching 600,000 subscribers on Twitch on day 27 of his Mafiathon 2 marathon, the streamer gave a heartfelt speech to his audience:
"I want you all to understand what's going on bro, when the devil tries to work against you, God is literally working a hundred times more. Bro, blessed, blessed."
Kai Cenat then said he went to sleep angry the previous night, probably due to the magician Max Majors controversy:
"Chat, I can't be emotional. I don't have... I am not doing that, bro. I have been doing a good job though. I have been doing a good job. But chat, when I tell you I went to sleep so angry yesterday. I went to sleep so mad, not mad but, I went to sleep with my head f**ked up."
Cenat claimed that the only people who understand him are his viewers and explained his position as one of the most successful streamers in the industry:
"Only people that understand me are the people that watch my streams, that's the only people that understand me. And when you have been doing something, when you dominate a field for a long time, bro. Or like you dominate and it's good, you are having a good run, no matter what you do."
He noted that being at the top invites competition, with others in the field wanting to see you fail.
Whether you play basketball, or you stream, or you are a good a** doctor. Whether you are the best doctor in the hospital, there will be a doctor there who wants to be better than you, that doesn't want to see you up there gang."
While it's unclear what he's referring to, Kai Cenat's recent drama on Twitch involving Max Majors has received significant backlash. Fellow streamers, including xQc, have called for Cenat's ban on the platform.
