Twitch streamer Hasan Piker, also known as "HasanAbi," has gone viral after witnessing alleged flashbangs at the Los Angeles anti-ICE protests. On June 8, 2025, the content creator hosted an IRL livestream titled, ICE RAIDS IN LA! NATIONAL GUARD DEPLOYED?! GET ICE OUT OF LA PROTESTS! SUNDAY PROTEST DAY!
At the five-hour-29-minute mark of the broadcast, several loud bangs were heard, presumably as part of the Los Angeles Police Department's crowd control measures in response to the protesters on the street.
Commenting on the situation, HasanAbi said:
"I think they're going to push it from this side (a loud bang is heard)... oh, f**k! That f**ked my hair up! (HasanAbi laughs) Anyways... that was (another loud bang is heard) oh, Jesus Christ! They're f**king, like, wait, hold on. Oh, they're starting to walk. There is a secondary line back here (third loud bang is heard)... oh! (Two more loud bangs are heard.)"

Another video from HasanAbi's IRL livestream surfaced on social media, in which he was seen speaking to an individual who alleged that the LAPD intentionally shot them during the anti-ICE protests.
Elaborating on their experience, the person said:
"I have the Palestinian flag with the Shahada on it, and they purposely (The streamer says, 'Shot you in the arm?')... yes. They said, 'Give the girl with the tanned backpack,' there's a tanned backpack, and they shot me point-blank. I think it might be fractured or sprained, but I'm okay. I have cousins in Syria, they go through way worse."
In response, the Twitch streamer said:
"Have you seen the field medic? Are you okay? All right. No problem. That's strange. That's wild!"
