Season 14 Bachelorette, Becca Kufrin, married Thomas Jacobs in October 2023 after welcoming their baby son Brenson a month before. She met Jacobs on season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise (2021), where their romance bloomed. Later, they broke up before the show ended and reunited off-camera in 2022.
New mom Becca Kufrin has recently become Momcozy's North America Brand Ambassador and has been sharing her motherhood journey. In this regard, the 35-year-old reality TV star candidly shared her experience in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, published on April 24.
“I don’t think anyone can prepare you for becoming a mother. Obviously, people will warn you, ‘Parenting is the hardest job you’ll ever have to do,’ but when you hear that, it just goes in one ear and out the other. And until you’re in it, you don’t actually realize, ‘Oh, people were right,’” Becca shared with the magazine.

Kufrin further revealed that she initially believed having a baby would be easy, thinking babies mostly just eat, sleep, and poop. However, her first-hand experience proved otherwise. She also shared that, although she is not typically a "big crier," she found herself crying during the first few weeks postpartum.
The mother of one also shared how parents have to compromise on sleep with a newborn. She said that she loves sleeping and but had to wake up frequently to look after the baby.
"That was the hard part. When you have a newborn, you have to wake up basically every two to three hours to feed and change that little one, and you’re constantly thirsty and hungry. So I think just all of those weird changes to my body that I wasn’t prepared for were difficult,” she added.
Becca Kufrin had to take anxiety medicines during pregnancy
Apart from sharing the postpartum challenges, Becca also recounted her pregnancy anxiety.
"When I was pregnant, I did go on anxiety medication, and we had to raise the dosage just so I could get through that hard time and keep myself balanced hormonally. The other day, I was thinking, ‘If we’re ready to do this, do I need to up that dosage?,’ the Bacheloratte fame narrated.
She also shared that she worries “so much” about planning for a second child. Despite her fears, she remains open to expanding her family.
Alongside the stressful moments, Kufrin expressed that she also has beautiful memories from when her son was first born. She added that she cherishes the bond between her son and Thomas.
