The Sun has now won two games in a row, both on the road against two of the best teams in the Western Conference – the Lynx and Phoenix Mercury. Alyssa Thomas won the battle of the MVP candidates, although Collier's injury might have helped get the victory.

Collier suffered the injury in the third quarter and was ruled out with a left foot injury. It was a non-contact injury, so there were some initial concerns when it happened.

What's next for the Connecticut Sun and Minnesota Lynx?

The Connecticut Sun has four games left before the All-Star and Olympic break. They will be back home for their next three games against the Atlanta Dream, New York Liberty and Phoenix Mercury. They end the first half of the season in Brooklyn when they take on the Liberty again.

The two matchups against New York are both important considering that they are two of the best teams in the league. The Liberty (17-3) currently tops the WNBA standings, followed by Connecticut (16-4).

On the other hand, the Minnesota Lynx – who sit top of the Western Conference standings with a 14-6 record – have five games left before the break. Their next game is still at home against the Washington Mystics. They then go to the road to face the LA Sparks and Seattle Storm before finishing the first half of the season against the Indiana Fever and Atlanta Dream at Target Center.
