Rookies of the LA Sparks, Cameron Brink and Rickea Jackson, were present for last night's Game 3 of the LA Lakers. The WNBA prospects had the chance to meet Lakers legends Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The players took photos during their meet together at Crypto.com Arena.

The city of Los Angeles has welcomed the new stars of their WNBA team. Brink and Jackson were drafted on the same night and were also lottery picks (Brink - second pick and Jackson - fourth pick). Many expect the rookie duo to be an effective force in the league for seasons to come.

Brink and Jackson weren't the only rookies who had the chance to meet the Lakers legends. McKenzie Forbes, who the Sparks drafted with the 28th pick in the third round, also had the pleasure of meeting the NBA icons.

The trio of rookies are set to debut on Saturday, May 4, against the Seattle Storm in a preseason game. Their second preseason game is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 10, versus the Phoenix Mercury. Their regular season starts on Wednesday, May 15, against the Atlanta Dream.

Magic Johnson expects big things from Cameron Brink and Co.

Magic Johnson won five NBA championships during his time in LA. He only knows one thing, and that is to win championships. Those expectations have now been passed on to Cameron Brink, Rickea Jackson, and McKenzie Forbes.

The Lakers legend posted on X (formerly Twitter) to show his support for the WNBA rookies. He also shared his expectations from the trio as they take on a new chapter of their basketball journey.

"It was nice to meet the new trio for the LA Sparks! I know that they are going to create their own magic and lead the Sparks back to being a championship contending team!" Magic wrote.

It may be a challenging task for the trio of rookies, but the franchise is confident they can lead the Sparks to a championship. The last time they won a title was in 2016 when they beat the Minnesota Lynx 3-2 in a best-of-five finals series.
