Indiana Fever All-Star Aliyah Boston is enjoying her offseason, taking a break after a challenging yet eventful second WNBA season for herself and her team. The 22-year-old standout out of South Carolina has been active on social media, sharing glimpses of her activities since the season concluded, including pulling off a new hairstyle.
She recently took to her TikTok and Instagram stories to showcase her new braided, caramel-colored hair, a change from the usual black with streaks she rocked for much of the WNBA season. She captioned her post with:
"Couldn't help myself :)"

Aliyah Boston had another solid season for the Fever in 2024, playing and starting in all of their 40 games. She averaged 14 points and 1.2 blocks while posting improved numbers in rebounds (8.9 boards) and assists (3.2 dimes) per game. Her steady numbers earned her a second straight WNBA All-Star selection.
More importantly, together with WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark and veteran Kelsey Mitchell, Boston helped the Fever return to competitiveness as Indiana made its way back to the postseason after eight years.
Their spirited WNBA run ended in the opening round of the postseason against Connecticut but not without making it tough for the Sun, with Boston averaging 16.5 points, 15 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in the two games played.
Aliyah Boston says Fever have to shore up their depth
Aliyah Boston was happy with what the Indiana Fever were able to accomplish in her second season but admitted that the team needed to shore up its roster to sustain the gains it has made moving forward.
She shared this during her end-of-season interview following their exit in the opening round of the WNBA playoffs last month, highlighting how the team's lack of depth should be addressed in the offseason.
Boston said (via Sports Illustrated):
"I think for us, it's going to be making sure that we have depth at every position. I think making sure that we have extra bodies, just because you never know how games go... [We have to make] sure we have depth."
In their 2024 WNBA campaign, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell got a major boost with the arrival of rookie sensation Caitlin Clark. Together, they led the Fever (20-20) to a seven-game improvement in wins and a return to the playoffs.
